Problem Statement: Cryptocurrency trading apps often overwhelm users with complex features and poor usability, reducing adoption among new traders. The objective was to create an intuitive mobile app that simplifies multi-currency management and transactions securely.
Overview: Designed a feature-rich mobile app supporting seamless crypto buying, selling, exchanging, and portfolio tracking, focused on security and streamlined workflows for beginners and pros alike.
The First Impression—Onboarding & Sign Up
Every journey begins with hello. I wanted users to feel welcomed from the very first tap, so the onboarding flow is simple and warm, with options to sign up or sign in using email, phone, or social accounts. Intuitive prompts and security cues set the expectation for a safe, user-friendly environment right from the start.
Building Trust—Verification
Security is never an afterthought. The app leads users through an OTP check, then asks for a selfie—either upload or snap instantly—to verify identity without hassle. The process is quick, guided, and visually reassuring, letting users know their assets are protected every step of the way.
Empowering Decisions—Home & Trading Insights
Home isn’t just a landing pad. The dashboard delivers top coins, breaking news, and quick actions, all in a glance. Trading charts pulse with real-time market data, empowering users like seasoned traders—every spike and dip visualized, every decision made easier.
Control & Clarity—Filtering, Wallets, Portfolio
With advanced filtering, users dissect their transaction history by date, type, or status. The wallet card paints a visual story of every balance and movement, while the portfolio reveals “My Assets” so users track holdings and growth at a glance—all with smooth, swipe-ready navigation.
Making Moves—Buy, Sell, Exchange
Crypto transactions are the core: users select their currency, see live rates, review fees, and complete trades with a few taps. Whether buying, selling, or swapping, each step is streamlined and transparent, reducing friction for beginner and expert alike.
Access & Action—Withdrawals
No hoops to jump through—users link or select their bank account swiftly, and withdraw funds with confidence. Supported banks and account types are displayed clearly, while advanced transaction history allows users to filter by every detail, from pending to completed.
My Design Approach & Learnings
I approached this challenge as both a storyteller and a problem-solver. Each screen began as a hand-drawn wireframe, then evolved in Figma to capture a seamless user experience. My goal was to smooth every journey—reducing friction, clarifying information, and applying the latest UI trends like bento grids and strategic color accents to build trust and usability.
Feedback confirmed the impact—users felt “inspired to trade” and appreciated the clarity and security of every interaction. By honing details, such as fast verification and intuitive filtering, I created an engaging experience that simplifies the complexities of currency exchange for everyone.
